Surah At-Tawbah (9:51)
Arabic: قُل لَّن يُصِيبَنَا إِلَّا مَا كَتَبَ اللَّـهُ لَنَا هُوَ مَوْلَانَا وَعَلَى اللَّـهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ
Translation (English): “Say, ‘Nothing will ever befall us except what Allah has written for us. He is our Protector, and upon Allah let the believers rely.’”
Tafseer (Explanation & Meaning)
This verse teaches Muslims patience, trust, and reassurance. When faced with trials or hardships, a believer should remember that everything happens according to Allah’s decree, and within it lies wisdom. The verse was revealed in response to the hypocrites who mocked or rejoiced at the difficulties of Muslims. Allah reminds the believers to remain content with His will and place their trust in Him alone.
